Car Peugeot 5008 in 2018 can rightfully be called one of the youngest models of the French car concern. It is also important that even before its restyling, the front-drive minivan was able to win fame and popularity, having obtained the MPV award, the award of which takes place annually in England. Therefore, the release of the updated model can be considered a successful attempt by the manufacturer to consolidate the deserved success in the world market. The car from the French turned out to be fine, muscular and emotional and, unlike many competitors, does not look like a cumbersome “behemoth”. Front crossover demonstrates an aggressive look through intricate headlights, a hexagonal radiator grille and a relief bumper, and behind – a monumental stern with spectacular lanterns and a huge boot lid. The visual lightness and swiftness of the five-door is added by thin body racks, and the expressive punches and properly drawn wheel arches make.
INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DESIGN
Like many updated models of the French manufacturer, the Peugeot 5008 in 2018 did not undergo significant changes in its interior. The only thing is that the system control buttons have become much smaller by adding special blocks located on the center console.
As for the spaciousness of the salon, then, as before, it can be five- or seven-seater. The front seats are equipped with an adjustment mechanism, the rear seats are separate construction, and not a solid sofa. In addition to roominess, the main “feature” of the salon “5008” is the concept of “I-Cockpit” with a compact “steering wheel” truncated from above and below, which is in front of the driver’s eyes with a digital “device” with a 12.3-inch display and a two-tier front panel, in which the asymmetry of forms reigns. An 8-inch touchscreen of the information and entertainment complex rises above the center console, and below the ventilation deflectors there are seven tumblers responsible for launching the main functions of comfort and safety. The interior of the car looks really cool, and so effective design is more accustomed to see in supercars, rather than in a family parket.
The power scale “5008-go” is formed by six units working with a six-speed “mechanics” or “automatic” and a front-wheel drive transmission.

The basic variant is a 1.2-liter “troika” with a 12-valve timing, developing 130 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm combined with both manual transmission and automatic transmission.
The diesel line consists of two inline “fours” with a turbocharger, direct injection of common rail and a 16-valve arrangement, available in two levels of boosting:
The 1.6-liter engine generates 100 “mares” at 3750 rpm and 254 Nm of potential capacity at 1750 rpm, or 120 horsepower and 300 Nm at similar revs. “Junior” version is completed only with a “manual” box, and the “senior” is offered and automatic.
The two-liter diesel has an active 150 forces at 4000 rpm and 370 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm or 180 “stallions” at 3750 rpm and 400 Nm at 2000 rpm. In the first case, the motor is combined only with “mechanics”, and in the “second” – with the “automatic”. Depending on the modification, the maximum capabilities of the “second” Peugeot 5008 fit in at 174-208 km / h, and the starting acceleration to “hundreds” takes 9.1-13.6 seconds. Gasoline machines “eat” from 5.1 to 5.8 liters of fuel in a mixed mode, and diesel – from 4.1 to 4.8 liters.
RELEASE DATE AND PRICE
In European markets, the second “release” of the Peugeot 5008 is offered in four versions of equipment (“Access”, “Active”, “Allure” and “Allure GT-Line”). Crossover Peugeot will go on sale in the spring of 2018. The price will be less than € 300 000.
