One of the largest in the world, one of the oldest automobile brands in Japan, Nissan should soon present an updated version of the model Juke – Nissan Juke 2018. The first show of the new crossover took place at the auto show in Frankfurt in 2017, but whether this serial model did not become reliably known.
Interior and Exterior Design
Despite earlier shown photos of the concept, the serial version of the second generation Nissan Juke 2018 almost did not change in comparison with the first generation, the front part was refined. Engineers soon improved the flaws and took into account the wishes of customers, rather than created a completely new crossover, as suggested in the images of designers.
What will be the interior of the new crossover from Nissan is not known. Futuristic design concept is clearly not an example for the second generation, and in the last model shown the interior was not available. Most likely, the designers will finish the interior of the existing crossover and add new safety and control systems for new autobiles. The concept of the model was shown with impractical design, an uncomfortable steering wheel, the lack of a multimedia system and uncomfortable management. The new crossover Nissan Juke 2018 second-generation engineers made the most sporty, adding a lot of details for this, as well as changing the front end. The car is still designed for youth and modern audiences.
At the heart of the novelty, as in the previous model, installed 17 “alloy wheels, in the maximum set of 19”, the design of the wheel was changed, giving them a directional pattern.
The front part of the presented Nissan Juke 2018 received changes, and as many fans of this model note, the changes went for the better. The manufacturer promised to remove the strange front optics, which twice underwent redesign. The central front is occupied by an updated radiator grille.
The front bumper is still recognizable, thanks to the previously known large and round supplementary optics, it also acts as a fog lamp, and in the base are mounted LED lamps, as in the main optics. The lower part of the front bumper is allocated under the elongated grille, which serves for better blowing of the engine, narrower at the top and wider at the bottom. In contrast to the upper part, the lower part is made from a mesh insert. The center of the lattice was selected for the classical emblem of the company. On the sides are chrome lines, for protection and improved design. The bottom of the bumper is decorated with a plastic weather-cloth, a similar one is installed along the entire perimeter of the crossover.
Otherwise, the front part of the new crossover well resembles its predecessor. Kap remained almost the same, not taking into account the parts near the optics and the grille. The front pillars and the windshield were of a similar shape. The shape of the front bumper remained the same, this indicates that the designers tried to improve the design, but leave the recognizable features of the previous crossover. Presumably such features of the front end should be for this crossover second generation, but the final conclusion can be made when the car officially appears on the manufacturer’s website.
Japanese engineers only slightly opened the main picture of the technical characteristics of the car. The basis for the new crossover lies the previously known platform CMF-B, the same platform was used for the subcompact crossover fifth generation Nissan Micra. The manufacturer decided to keep up with competitors and to introduce a new gasoline engine for three cylinders with a volume of 1 liter under the hood of the Nissan Juke 2018. The diesel engine will be 1.5 liters.
The most famous is a gasoline turbocharged unit, 1.6 liters in volume. The power of this engine is about 190 horsepower, the maximum torque is 5600 rpm. But there is a more powerful option, with a capacity of 215 horsepower, with a torque of 6000 rpm. The new car will compete with modern hybrids. While it is not known what exactly will be the hybrid installation, but it is supposedly one of the already existing hybrids.
The fuel consumption for the 190 horsepower version is as follows: in city mode it will be 9.1 l / 100 km, in combined mode 6.9 l / 100 km, while in suburban mode 5.6 l / 100 km, the emission of harmful CO2 for all uses at 159 units.
Release date and price
According to preliminary data from the manufacturer, the new crossover Nissan Juke 2018 will officially appear on sale closer to the middle of 2018. Concerning the price, it will be a little more from the prices of the first generation of the crossover. For today, the starting price of the Nissan Juke crossover starts at $ 20250, and the top option Nismo will cost $ 28020.
The exterior of the updated model was designed on the basis of comments and wishes of the customers, so that all were satisfied. Thanks to the economical and thoughtful engine you will minimize pollution of the environment – the amount of harmful emissions is minimized. The updated version of the Nissan Juke 2018 is suitable for daily use in the city, as well as for long trips over long distances.
