The company Skodacontinues to expand the lineup of its largest crossover Kodiaq. Recently, amodel of the Kodiaq Scout cross-country was introduced, and already after it amodification of the Sportline, which flaunts its sporty and bright appearance. The presentation took place in March at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017. It isknown that the concern decided not to stop and will soon offer a chargedversion with an RS package, including a 240-hp 2.0 TDI bit-lit from VW Passat.
INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DESIGN
In comparisonwith other versions of the family, the Sportline looks spectacular and sportyaggressively. The body was as much as possible “unloaded” fromplastic linings, there was only a minimal protection on the front, rear bumpersand wheel arches. In black, the radiator grille, rear-view mirrors, edging ofthe side windows and rails are now painted. The front and rear bumpers got anew shape and are complemented by shiny black accents. It is interesting thatthe designers with the help of chrome made an imitation of exhaust pipes, although in reality the exhaust is located under the bottom of the car.
In the basicversion, the Sportline is equipped with an Ambition version, which is theaverage for the regular version of the Kodiak. But there are a number ofdifferences, for example, in the “sports” version, front seats withmore developed lateral support are installed and trimmed with alcantara with asilver thread. The leather is trimmed with a handle and a redesigned steeringwheel, the pedals now have aluminum pads. Another interesting solution is theexterior mirrors in which a light source is directed downward to illuminate thespace when landing and disembarking from the car. As standard, the Sportlineincludes LED interior lighting (10 colors), a multifunction display Maxi DOT inthe instrument cluster, side mirrors with electric adjustment and folding, adriving control system Driving Mode Select with options for Eco, Comfort, Normal,Sport, Individual, Snow.
